Back on the Left Coast

I must say it is terrific to be back in San Francisco after seven years in the nation's capitol. I've considered SF my home and it definitely is the spiritual home of ululation.

Very interesting to be in such a liberal town after being in the capitol these past years - but I look around and there is not one blue suit to be found. Am I dreaming?

I have not, however, lost my junkie-like addition to politics in this election year. The presidential debate and the vice presidential debate are re-charging a flagging Democratic campaign and scandals are rocking the White House.

All this is very obvious to the semi-awake, but it is exciting when so much is on the line.
